THE TREEHOUSE

An elevator carries you to the Treehouse Level, where sweeping views of seven Colorado Fourteeners and the Great Sand Dunes await. Designed for both comfort and escape, this retreat features a fully stocked kitchen with a Bosch refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, and induction cooktop.
Enjoy Alexa-controlled lighting and music, a two-sided fireplace, an exercise bike and yoga equipment, a pellet grill, and a third-story deck offering 360-degree views of the entire San Luis Valley. Starlink internet keeps you connected with streaming services available on the 65-inch Samsung Frame TV.
Unwind in one of our screened porches or relax on the wraparound walkway deck or the 360° deck as you take in the mountain air and endless skies. The Treehouse is a place to retreat, reconnect, and spend meaningful time with the people you love—whether that’s your closest friends, family, partner or lover.
Sunset Deck, Wrap Around Walkway, and 360° Deck
There is an exterior walkway that wraps all the way around the treehouse level, including the Sunset Deck and leading to the 360° Deck spiral staircase. Here you can take in a true 360° panorama of the San Luis Valley, showcasing seven 14,000-foot peaks along with the iconic Great Sand Dunes. Relax in reclining chairs or a chaise lounge as you take in the sweeping views by day and the brilliant night sky after dark. In this designated Dark Sky destination, you can stargaze in comfort beneath weighted blankets, surrounded by quiet, unobstructed wilderness.
Kitchen and Living Room

The fully stocked kitchen features high-end Bosch appliances, including an oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer. The deep kitchen sink is equipped with a pull-out faucet connected to a whole-house water filtration system. Next to it, is the instant hot water dispenser—perfect for a quick cup of tea.
You’ll find everything you need to cook comfortably, including cast iron skillets, a wok, Le Creuset cookware, a NutriChef granite cooking stone, and a VitaClay rice cooker.
One of the best parts of the kitchen is that it’s truly lived-in and fully stocked. Since we stay here when it’s not being rented, you won’t need to purchase basic ingredients. Feel free to use our flour, rice, spices, hot sauces, baking supplies, pasta, snacks, and more. Make yourself at home and use anything in the cupboards.
The living room offers a Samsung 65” Frame TV with an art display mode and access to popular streaming services. You can also unwind by the double-sided gabion fireplace, which connects to the adjacent sunroom for a cozy atmosphere.
For added convenience, you can ask Amazon Alexa to control the Lutron lighting system with preset scenes (Kitchen Cooking, Kitchen Evening, Living Room Evening, All Exterior, etc.), or task her to play your favorite music.
Sun Room

This room features 180 degrees of windows overlooking a 20-acre greenbelt, where deer occasionally wander.
The square dining table comfortably seats eight, with a Pit Boss pellet grill located just outside for easy indoor-outdoor entertaining.
A double-sided fireplace anchors the living space, with ample fire starters, kindling, and piñon wood provided for your convenience.
For wellness and fitness, there is a dedicated exercise area equipped with yoga mats, a backbender, light weights, resistance bands, and a stationary exercise bike.
An upright piano completes this space for music and relaxation.
Master Suite

Double sliding doors in the master suite open onto the Master Screened Porch with sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Another set of sliding doors leads to a wraparound walkway and deck facing the 20-acre greenbelt, as well as providing access to the spiral staircase to the 360° deck.
Automatic room-darkening blinds provide privacy when you’re ready to unwind in the king-size bed, complete with convenient phone chargers built into the matching nightstands. A ceiling fan helps keep things comfortable on warm summer nights, while the sliding doors offer natural temperature control—open them to enjoy the cool mountain air, or close them to retain the cozy warmth of radiant floor heating.
The ensuite bathroom features a walk-in shower with a handheld wand, grab bars, and a built-in bench. Shampoo, soap, and fresh towels are provided, and a shower chair is available upon request. There’s also a grab bar next to the Toto toilet with bidet functionality. After a day of hiking or a workout on the exercise bike, the two-person soaking tub offers the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Loft Bedroom
Custom-crafted stairs lead up to a cozy queen-size loft-bed, offering stunning views of Mount Blanca and the Great Sand Dunes.The lounge couch facing the sliding door to the Valley View Screened Porch easily folds out into a comfortable queen-size bed, facing a small Samsung TV.

On the Valley View Screened Porch, you’ll find a hanging chair—ideal for unwinding, and a futon sofa/bed to lounge on as you watch the sun set over the expansive, 50-mile-wide San Luis Valley.
Murphy Bedroom
Also connected to the Valley View Screened Porch, this queen bed conveniently folds up, giving you extra space for relaxing or creating a private workspace—perfect for extended stays.

Hall Bathroom
Steps from the Murphy and Loft Bedrooms, this bathroom provides a jetted whirlpool soaking tub also functioning as a shower. Complete with a handheld wand, you'll be able to soak your cares away with shampoo, soap, and fresh towels already provided. Adjacent to the tub is a Toto toilet with an integrated bidet for added comfort and convenience. Above the granite countertops sits a bathroom mirror with make-up lighting.
Additional Features
Just down the East Back Staircase, you’ll find a picnic table in our Dog Corral. This area serves as a convenient pet relief spot for early mornings or late nights when a longer walk isn’t ideal. For their safety, pets should never be left unattended outdoors. Wildlife such as deer, coyotes, and bobcats are part of the natural surroundings. If your dog chases a deer you may never find them.
Enjoy outdoor cooking with our Pit Boss pellet grill, which adds a rich, smoky flavor to meats and vegetables. Cross the Bridge to the edge of the 20-acre greenbelt and relax with a drink, snack, or even dinner at our outdoor table in the woods.
Stroll through the adjacent 20-acre Greenbelt and our 4.5-acre piñon forest, where you can relax on one of four rustic benches among trees that have stood for over 150 years. We kindly ask that you leave the area just as you found it.
Our two-person elevator provides easy access to the Treehouse Level—perfect for luggage, groceries, or simply avoiding the three lighted stairways. It’s conveniently located in the foyer next to the covered carport.
For guests needing extra support, we offer an onsite wheelchair, walker, and shower chair.
