Our Story
The lovers of lover's way
While dating, Tom Herod and Allene Delories Evans discovered that they both shared an affection for Colorado’s San Luis Valley. He had worked on the PBS film, The Land of Little Rain, and she was a graduate of Adams State College in Alamosa. On their first trip to the Valley together, they visited one of the film’s locations, the picturesque Rito Alto Church. A year later they were married there.
Over time, the Valley became part of their story. They came back year after year to celebrate their anniversary, eventually purchasing land to build their dream home—a place to slow down, connect, and share meaningful moments together.
